It's always an interesting thing to watch when the anime and manga industry abandons their normal wild world of superpowered warriors, giant robots and magical girls and instead focus on the real world. It ought to be noted that, in spite of the title from the display, the network NHK never really aired Welcome towards the NHK. It took me 3 days to read the whole book. So what better way to handle an important social issue than to adapt it into a novel, manga and anime? I yelled at the screen, my face hit . Welcome to the NHK started as a light novel created by japanese novelist Tatsuhiko Takimoto , illustrated by Yoshitoshi Abe (Serial Experiments Lain) and published by Kadokawa Shoten. Watching this show was more painful than watching and AU Gundam or even the 2010 season of the San Francisco 49ers (had I been a Lakers fan I would liken Welcome to the NHK to their rout on Christmas Day against the Miami Heat). Like Gonzo's work on Speed Grapher. Based on the Japanese novel written by Tatsuhiko Takimoto published in 2002, the anime was aired in 2006 consisting of twenty-four episodes. The sociological complexity of the anime version of Welcome to the NHK impressed me quite a bit, and the manga version certainly did not disappoint either. This is a novel (It is technically a light novel but it is nothing like a light novel so) that I got given as a present by one of my relatives. I know the author made something of himself and good for him, only that it was not an overnight thing and having finished his novel his troubles did not disappear. The NHK manga goes down well with Marilyn Manson music. It should be noted that, despite the title of the show, the network NHK never actually aired “Welcome to the NHK.” Thus, unlike the novels, the show does not explicitly link the NHK conspiracy to the NHK television network. Tatsuhiko Takimoto's Welcome to the NHK novel was expanded into an eight volume manga series with Kendi Oiwa, which was in turn adapted into a 24 episode anime series by Gonzo.
